All I can say is WOWZA! When we saw Fable right when she was born we never though we had a true black on our hands, but we did! When we first saw her we were worried that she wouldn’t be of any quality since her mom is a beige and we didn’t think she would be anything. But we were so wrong! We took Fable to her first show and wow were were shocked! Judge Wade Gease when judging her in a class of 11 said “Wow Finally.” Because she was the only one in her group that really caught his eye! Then once again under judge Ken Hibbits he just loved her fleece and her over all confirmation receiving another blue ribbon! We couldn’t be more proud of this not so little girl, with her proving how strong she is so far. Because of that we are submitting her fleece to the AOA National Fleece show along with a couple others! We could be more excited to get breeding career started with breeding her to blacks and greys! Misty is a gorgeous female with amazing coverage. She is a “spinner’s dream” said Halter Judge Wade Gease when presenting her ribbon during the 2012 Showcase. Her silky-soft fiber is nearly blue in hue, and indeed spins up beautifully! She has exceptional staple length, soft hand and beautiful brilliance to her uniform, dense, fine fleece. (2012 AFD 22; 2013 AFD 23) Misty took 1st place at Showcase 2013 and again at Showcase 2014! From her sire, The Rebel, Misty inherited his awesome phenotype. She is conformationally correct, with good substance of bone, compact frame, well-proportioned with straight top line. She has a confident, even temperament, resides well with others and is gentle on the lead. Misty’s pedigree is loaded with impressive gray and black genetics, including The Rebel, PPeruvian Pluro, Michelangelo, PPeruvian Guellermo, with lots of color in her background. Her dam, Naomi's Nicolette, is a fantastic bay black female who has produced multiple color champions. This year, Misty is being put to Liberty’s Ellis Island (light brown) with the possibility to produce black, silver gray, brown or rose gray; any of which will be a stunning cria!

There are no words; this boy has it all. Laszlo is truly an exceptional alpaca. As he ages, he maintains extraordinary brightness and density and incredible uniformity. We absolutely love and cherish this boy. We can’t wait to see his cria in 2024. As judge Frauke Berman said while awarding him his white male color champion, “This male just really has it all. He really is the ideal representation of what the true huacaya alpaca should be.” Judge Amanda VandenBosch said when judging him in walking fleece, “He really is extraordinary. The uniformity he had is really amazing. It goes from shoulder to belly. The density and brightness are also great. Also considering how he looks I would love to use him as a breeder.” Judge Laurel Shouvlin said while awarding him first place, “He is beautifully built, really up right, and gorgeous substance of bone. The phenotype is also great. All his conformational traits and fleece traits are deserving of his blue ribbon.” Laszlo’s dam sadly passed away at age 17. Zsa Zsa is a White Color Champion Female. She went out as a yearling and won the highest award. She is a well framed female, great bone substance. As a youngster, she exhibited good fiber coverage and defined character in her fleece with great density. Her sire is Accoyo Cahuide, who historically has made an impact on herds by producing quality the maintains over time. Zsa Zsa is out of a brown female Gloria. Though she typically has been put to white, this year Zsa Zsa is being bred to Liberty’s Ellis Island, a light brown male sired by 6x champion Irish Meadows Peruvian Carbon Copy.

Luna is an elegant Bisturi (medium silver gray) daughter, whose genetics are no longer available in the U.S. as he now resides in Switzerland. She has great style and phenotype; and is well proportioned with good density of bone. Her soft, fine, bright fleece has lovely long staple and uniform character throughout. Her dam is FDA Shazam’s Laila Ali (dark rose grey). Behind these two outstanding parents are generations of grey, black and color genetics. When put to gray, she has produced dark silver gray, light silver gray and true black. This is a girl who could be put to any color with spectacular results! Luna has been officially retired. So she has been taken off our sales list. She will live out the rest of her days here at Badger Canyon Farm. Sadly on 2/28/26 Luna crossed the rainbow bridge. GRADE 4 AT AGE 9
